We’re ready for your special deliveries.

At Seton Medical Center Hays, we’ve created a special place just for women and infants. It’s a comfortable, caring environment devoted to women’s health and maternity services, encompassing gynecological testing and minimally invasive surgery, mammograms, maternity services, nursery and neonatal intensive care.

Maternity Unit Capacity

• 19 rooms for new moms and babies
• 4 labor and delivery rooms
• 13 newborn bassinets
• 12 post-partum rooms
• 4 NICU beds
• 2 private rooms for breastfeeding
• In-room sleeping accommodations for family members
• High-tech infant security system
• 2 C-section surgery rooms

Labor & Delivery

The Labor and Delivery nurses at Seton Medical Center Hays are highly skilled in women’s health.  We have the technology and experience to provide exceptional safe patient care for mothers and babies to facilitate a satisfying birthing experience. 

Mother/Baby

The Mother/Baby unit offers family centered rooms, high technology infant security system and a certified educator of infant massage.  Two private lactation rooms are available for nursing mothers. We also provide ante-partum services for monitoring mothers in preterm labor. 

Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

As part of the Seton Family of Hospitals Neonatal Intensive Care Program, Seton Medical Center Hays offers Level II NICU services.  Our four-bed NICU unit includes one private room with sleeping accommodations for the family.  Rooming-in accommodations are also available for the family’s transition to home. 

And if necessary, infants with the most critical health problems can be cared for at any of Seton’s Level III NICU facilities: Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas, Seton Medical Center Austin and University Medical Center Brackenridge.
