    The Austin American-Statesman featured commentary by Seton Healthcare Family President and Chief Executive Officer Jesús Garza. At issue is an effort by several major pharmaceutical companies to eliminate a federal program that requires them to provide Seton and other qualified health care systems with prescription drugs at significantly reduced prices so that the medications then can be provided to patients of limited financial means.

  • Seton Receives $1,000,001 for New Teaching Hospital from Shivers Cancer Foundation

    Seton Healthcare Family has received a $1,000,001 donation from the Austin-based Shivers Cancer Foundation to fund construction of Seton's new teaching hospital, Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas. The gift is the largest single donation ever made by the Shivers Cancer Foundation. "SMC at UT" will anchor a new downtown medical district and serve as the primary training site for students at The University of Texas at Austin's Dell
