Viet N Tran, M.D.

Bio

Dr. Tran is a board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon. Born in Vietnam, Dr. Tran is an adopted Austinite. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with high honors and attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency in Little Rock at the University of Arkansas and completed a fellowship in orthopedic spine surgery at the Texas Back Institute in Plano, Texas.

Dr. Tran specializes in the treatment of degenerative conditions of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine, and his approach to patient care is comprehensive, compassionate, conservative, yet innovative. His goal is to apply his expertise in cervical, thoracic, and lumbar surgery to maximize his patients' function and enhance their quality of life. His special interests include minimally invasive spine surgery and lumbar/cervical artificial disk replacement.

Dr. Tran is a member of the North America Spine Society, the Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, and the Travis County Medical Society.
