Javier Enrique Sanchez, M.D.

Bio

Dr. Sanchez is board certified in Internal Medicine with subspecialties in Cardiovascular Disease and Cardiac Electrophysiology. He attended medical school at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico followed by an internship at UT Southwestern Medical School at Parkland in Dallas, TX. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowships in Cardiology and Electrophysiology, all from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Medicine. During his years at UAB, he was a recipient of the Ben Friedman Award for Best Medicine Resident, the Argus Award for Best Teaching Medicine Resident, and the Best Teaching Fellow award. Dr. Sanchez has been published in many medical abstracts, journals and peer reviewed publications. He is fluent in English and Spanish and is frequently invited to speak at scientific meetings and educational activities throughout the U.S., Central America and South America.
