President and CEO, Seton Ventures and Alliances
Tom Gallagher is currently the executive vice president and COO for the Seton Healthcare Family and president and CEO of Seton Ventures and Alliances for the Seton Healthcare Family. He joined the Seton Family as chief financial officer in 1983 after 12 years with a national independent public accounting firm. He served in that role for 14 years and assumed additional responsibilities at Seton as senior vice president of business development, then president of Seton’s South Market until being named to his current role in 2012.
He is responsible for the development and implementation of Seton’s Operating Plan, Integrated Strategic Financial Plan and Capital Planning. He is also responsible for the evaluation and development of all Seton joint venture opportunities and governance oversight of those joint venture operations. He is also responsible for legal services, real estate transactions, system-wide plant operations and construction, planning, analytics and business economics, patient logistics, medical office building development and operations as well as Seton’s physician management service organization operations. He is also responsible for development of contractual relationships with key physician groups and other providers of medical services.
Tom received his undergraduate degree in accounting from Indiana University. He is the past chair of the Austin Community College Foundation Board of Trustees and continues to serve on the Board of Trustees. He also represents the Seton Healthcare Family on joint venture governing boards.
