John Brindley has more than 33 years of experience in health care leadership. He currently serves as president of Market Development for the Seton Healthcare Family.

John's principle responsibility includes executive leadership for Network Surgical Services, Diagnostics & Therapeutics, Supply Chain and Physician Relations. He also is responsible for developing and leading the following services lines: Oncology, Perinatal, Cardiac, Pediatrics, Brain & Spine and Surgery. 

Since joining the Seton Family as executive vice president and chief operating officer in 1996, John has served as president and chief executive officer of the Central and South Groups for more than 13 years. Before coming to Seton, he was the chief operating officer at DePaul Medical Center in Norfolk, Va. He also has held senior leadership positions at INOVA Fairfax Hospital and the Washington Hospital Center.

John has extensive experience in operations improvement, supply chain and product line management. Under his leadership, Seton Medical Center Austin and Seton Northwest Hospital have achieved Magnet status, the gold standard of nursing quality as determined by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, and SMCA has been designated Austin’s most preferred hospital from 1999-2011 with the Consumer Choice award given by the National Research Corporation. SMCA has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Hospitals in the country multiple times

John received his Master of Arts in Healthcare Administration from George Washington University and has a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University. He currently serves on numerous community boards, including Caritas of Austin, Catholic Health Association of Texas and the American Cancer Society of Central Texas, and is the Texas delegate to the Regional Policy Board of the American Hospital Association.
