Alan Isaacson joined Seton Shoal Creek Hospital in 2006. Before coming to Austin, he gained more than 20 years experience in behavioral health and rehabilitation services. Throughout his career he has traveled around the country in administrative roles that have included management of inpatient and outpatient psychiatric hospitals and clinics. His responsibilities have included supervision over a myriad of treatment settings such as neurobehavioral specialty hospital, rehabilitation hospital, residential treatment facilities, group homes, skilled units, assisted living and home health. Alan holds bachelor's and master's degrees in social work from The University of Texas with a clinical practice concentration and maintains a continued affiliation with the UT School of Social Work. He is a member of the Psychiatric and Chemical Dependency Services Hospital Constituency Council, a board member on Ending Community HOmelessness Coalition (ECHO - a group tied to ending Homelessness), the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the Mayor's Mental Health Task Force, Williamson County Mental Health Committee, Travis County Psychiatric Stakeholder Committee and Travis County Children's Mental Health Task Force.
