The Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery of Central Texas offers a broad menu of both reconstructive and cosmetic treatments and procedures. Staffed by compassionate plastic surgeons with many years’ experience in their chosen specialties, you and your family are in good hands here!
We have three convenient locations to serve you: The downtown Austin location at the Clinical Education Center at Brackenridge, the Round Rock location adjacent to Ascension Seton Medical Center Williamson, and our newest location in Northwest Austin near Spicewood Springs and Mopac. Our specialists provide comprehensive reconstructive surgery of the breast, face, and hand, as well as cosmetic procedures for the face, breast and body. In addition, we also care for pediatric patients in the Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery Program at Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas. If your child has a plastic surgery or hand issue you may call (512) 324-0918.
Did you know that breast reconstruction can often be performed at the same time as mastectomy?
This procedure, called immediate breast reconstruction, can raise a woman’s spirits and improve her self-confidence precisely at a time when she may need it the most. Delayed breast reconstruction can be performed weeks, months or even years following mastectomy. Our breast reconstruction specialists synchronize care with each woman’s cancer team to assure that the appropriate reconstruction is performed at the right time, in line with each woman’s radiation and/or chemotherapy treatments, as well as her personal goals for reconstruction.
Many women are not aware that all health insurers, including Medicare and Medicaid, are federally mandated to cover not just breast reconstruction, but to ensure that both breasts are a “matching set” following breast reconstruction. Our experienced surgical team offers several options in breast reconstruction, including microsurgical techniques.
At The Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery, our fellowship-trained plastic surgeons treat complex conditions of the breast, skull, face, hands and jaw.
Do your hands hurt? Do you experience numbness, tingling or weakness in your hands? Our specialists in hand and wrist surgery have years of experience addressing problems such as carpal tunnel syndrome, joint arthritis and broken bones of the wrist and hand.
Our plastic surgeons have come to Austin from all over the US to solve the most challenging reconstructive problems, including the support of Austin’s only Level I Trauma Center for adults, University Medical Center Brackenridge. In addition to reconstructive services, our practice provides occupational therapy, splint fabrication, radiology services, and wound care. Everything you need is available right here in Austin and Round Rock.
