My Passion for Healthcare

I started my medical career as an orderly at Brackenridge in the 1970's. I thought that I might be interested in some type of medical field, and found that being a physician held the most fascination for me, mixing science, art and common sense. I've since been interested in the breadth of medical care for children to adults, where Family Medicine fit perfectly. During my Navy career, I was also a flight surgeon heavily engaged in operational medicine at sea, directly supporting our operating forces.

My Clinical Focus

Although I enjoy seeing all ages, most of my patients are adults due to the makeup of the local community. Typically, people have a wide range of problems at all places in the body that I help them deal with and keep well. Family doctors must always consider the whole person in prevention of disease, treatment or referral to appropriate specialists.
