My Passion for Healthcare

I realized I wanted to be a physician at age 12, watching an ER doctor repair a very deep cut on my hand and showing the anatomy as he worked. I love the interwoven 'people & science' element of medicine, helping children live healthier, happier lives, and my role is incredibly rewarding! My specific passion for children with hearing issues comes from a long relationship with the Deaf/HOH community and volunteering with TSD and local Austin programs in high school. By starting the first pediatric cochlear implant program in Austin, I hope to start bridging our Deaf and hearing communities

  1. Hearing Evaluation and Total Care

  3. Tongue Tie and Breastfeeding counseling
  4. All ENT Services for Deaf/HOH Families

My Clinical Focus

Within pediatric otolaryngology, I have a special focus in otology (care of the ears) and hearing loss, and am the director of the pediatric cochlear implant team. Our team involves over 25 hearing loss professionals - audiologists, speech therapists, parent advocates and school district staff, neuropsychologists and psychologists - who come together to help families and patients through the complicated process of diagnosing hearing issues and finding the treatment that will serve them the very best, and connect them to a supportive community.
