My Passion for Healthcare

From a young age, I had a strong interest in math and science. When I matriculated at the University of Florida, I initially pursued a dual degree in engineering and classical studies. While I enjoyed the challenge of engineering, I found great joy in my humanities classes. In my senior year, I realized that a career in medicine provided the perfect blend of science and the humanities. I returned to the University of Florida for medical school where I discovered dermatology and the profound impact skin disease has on patients.

My Clinical Focus

I practice dermatology and completed a fellowship in dermatopathology, or the evaluation of skin biopsies and specimens under the microscope. My dermatopathology training gave me a deeper understanding of skin disease native to the skin as well as cutaneous manifestations of diseases affecting other organ systems. I have a strong clinical interest in cutaneous lymphoma and complex medical dermatology and have published articles on a broad range of topics including genetics, inflammatory skin diseases, lymphoma and other cancers of the skin, and pediatric dermatology.
