My Passion for Healthcare

Medicine is at its core the advocacy and facilitation of the health of individuals. Sometimes it involves complex and creative problem solving. Often it involves simple listening and encouragement, as people encounter the “slings and arrows” of disease and the difficulties of pursuing wellness. I am blessed to assist individuals: people who in their hearts are poets, resilient athletes of life and spirit, and to be allowed to share hard earned victories of overcoming health challenges. To me, this is greater than any “super bowl.”

My Clinical Focus

I have been a family doctor for over 30 years. My practice of medicine has always involved urgent care, wellness care and screening, and diagnostic challenges. My patients are individuals, families, and often multigenerational. I enjoy new technology and try to help patients wade through the media, marketing, and malarkey with which everyone is inundated. Medicine is a partnership and helping patients find specialists and able health care teams for disease processes is also of critical importance.
