My Passion for Healthcare

I probably knew around the age of four that I would be involved in medicine in some capacity. I vaguely remember and have been reminded by multiple family members through the years that I could be seen frequently riding through the neighborhood on a red tricycle wearing a midnight blue cape and white nurses hat with a red cross on it carrying a medicine bag filled with bandages, a stethoscope, syringes and candy pills in a bottle. My Mom told me once that I would "treat" any willing participant that would give me a few moments of their time.

Services I Provide

  1. Annual Exams
  2. Managing Chronic Illnesses
  3. Acute Problem Management
  4. Pataient Education
  5. Interpretation of Labs
  6. Managing Medications
  7. Collaborating with Our Physican Team

My Clinical Focus

I have been a preceptor for many students throughout my career and enjoy it very much. When I first became a Nurse Practitioner 30 plus years ago it was very difficult to find a preceptor or a place to get clinical experience. It was so difficult that I made a commitment to myself that if I ever achieved my ultimate goal I would never turn away a student that needed my help. Medicine has changed a lot during my career but I find it as fascinating today as I did 30 years ago. Medicine and teaching are my passion and for both, I am very grateful.
