Patient & Family Engagement

Seton Healthcare Family is dedicated to providing the best care possible and treating everyone with dignity and respect. It’s our Humancare mission. One of the best ways we can meet this mission is to hear directly from patients and family members like you.

This effort is designed to improve the quality and safety of care Seton provides. We believe that patients and families are important allies. You can help us improve care on many levels, including:

  • Safe medication use
  • Infection control initiatives
  • Observing care processes
  • Reporting complications

Become a Patient/Family Advisor

We’re looking for people like you to provide feedback on the Seton experience. We want to hear the good, the not-so-good, and the warm and fuzzy. As a Patient/Family Advisor, you will have the opportunity to improve how Seton delivers care. Volunteers can participate in many ways, from a short phone survey to more hands-on involvement.

You may qualify to be a Patient/Family Advisor if:

  • You are a patient or patient’s family member.
  • You have experienced care at any Seton hospital, clinic or other Seton facility.
  • You feel passionately about improving care at Seton.

Please fill out our Advisor Interest Form or call 512-324-0010 if you are interested in helping us. Your valuable input will help enhance how Seton delivers healthcare to you, your family and our community.

More about Our Vision

By treating patients and families as partners in health, we can collaborate to provide the best care possible. Here are just some of the ways we are making a difference together:

Respect and Dignity

We integrate the knowledge, values, spiritual beliefs and cultural backgrounds of patients and families into the planning and delivery of care.

Information Sharing

Timely, complete, and accurate information helps patients and family members make decisions.

Participation

Patients and family members are encouraged to participate in care and decision-making at the level they choose.

Collaboration

No one interest group is always right. By taking into account what all parties think and coming up with a solution that works for everyone, we all benefit.
