The 2016 “Deep in the Heart of Texas” Ascension Seton Spring Affair, benefitting Ascension Seton Southwest Hospital, will be held Friday, April 8, 2016, to raise funds for the only nonprofit, comprehensive medical center in the community, event organizers announced. Table sponsorship information is now available at http://setonhaysfoundation.org/seton-spring-affair.
A faith-based, nonprofit hospital, Ascension Seton Southwest depends on community support to help fund facility improvements that raise the hospital’s level of care and ensure the best experience for patients and families. The hospital is part of Ascension Seton, a member of Ascension, the nation’s largest Catholic and nonprofit healthcare system.
In past years, funds raised at the annual gala have funded specific hospital facility needs such as a digital mammography unit. This year’s gala will raise funds for a much-needed addition: a cafeteria, benefiting family members, friends and others who devote time to visiting patients, as well as nurses, doctors and other hospital staff.
Ascension Seton Southwest was nationally recognized recently with a Women’s Choice Award for Obstetrics, based on national consumer rankings, patient safety measurements and other evidence-based metrics that focus on female patient satisfaction.
The newly formed Ascension Seton Southwest Women’s Development Board will spearhead the event. The board includes more than 30 community members who support the hospital and seek to improve the health care Ascension Seton Southwest provides. The board intends to grow to 60 members.
Board leaders are Terry Lord, president; Susan Phillips, treasurer; Susie Klein, secretary and Pauline Davidson, membership.
The 2016 Spring Affair will be held at The Oaks Events Center, 2008 Brandt Road in Austin. The event co-chairs are Terri Cash and Robin Walton. For more event information, visit http://setonhaysfoundation.org/seton-spring-affair or email Pearl Burkham at firstname.lastname@example.org.
