Why Seton? Why Now?

The innovative spirit is palpable in Austin. Ascension Seton, Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin and Central Health, the public health care district for surrounding Travis County, are partners in designing a new system for integrating health care delivery and a new center for medical research and treatment.

Seton’s new teaching hospital – Dell Ascension Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas – is where ideas will be tested and trials can lead to better treatments after it opens in spring 2017. It will be the place where collaborators with a bold vision will come together to care for people in the best manner possible. But in order to succeed at the highest level, the partnership must engage with entrepreneurs to rethink health care and imagine a different – and far better – future.
