A year ago Ascension Seton Breast Care Center opened its doors and began providing a new level of medical care and support to Central Texas women. To commemorate this milestone event, the Ascension Seton Breast Care Center is hosting an open house Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
“At Ascension Seton Breast Care Center, we offer a health care environment where patients are supported by a compassionate team of breast health specialists committed to delivering the highest quality of service,” said Kate Henderson, President, Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin, Ascension Seton Shoal Creek and Health Equity Initiatives. “We look forward to celebrating the center’s first anniversary and success, which is a direct result of incredible contributions of our donors, volunteers and medical staff.”
Activities at the open house include:
• Tours of the Breast Care Center
• Photo booth exhibit
• Exercise demonstration for post-surgery fitness
• Onsite mammography scheduling
• Resources and education on 3D Mammography, breast health, and stereotactic biopsy
In addition, the talented pianist/singer Avery Williams will perform. Light refreshments will be served with door prizes and giveaways on hand.
The center opened in February 2014 with the help of generous volunteers, donors and Pink Army members, who raised more than $6.5 million dollars. The center combines the latest medical technology with personal attention and support to help women navigate the type of care and services they need during the cancer journey.
The celebration will be held at Ascension Seton Breast Care Center, located at 1201 West 38th Street in Austin. For more information, please contact Lorie Thibodeaux, MHA at 512-324-1025 x 10262.
