Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin Wins Consumer Choice Award for 18th Straight Year


For 18 years, National Research Corporation has honored a select group of U.S. hospitals identified by consumers as providing the highest quality health care.

And for the 18th year in a row, that list features Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin.

Just 37 U.S. hospitals have won Consumer Choice Awards during all 18 years of the awards’ existence. Just 16 Texas hospitals are on the new 2013-14 list.

Winners are determined by consumer perceptions on multiple quality and image ratings collected in National Research’s Market Insights Survey. This study surveys more than 270,000 households in the contiguous 48 states and the District of Columbia.

From the households surveyed, hospitals named by consumers are analyzed and ranked based on their Core Based Statistical Areas (CBSAs) as defined by the U.S. Census Bureau, with the winning facilities being ranked the highest.
