Seton Outpatient Pulmonary Rehabilitation Center Programs help people with chronic lung disease get the most out of life. Living with chronic lung disease can be very challenging and can interfere with someone’s ability to perform normal daily activities. Many people with lung disease have refrained from doing social activities due to the fear associated with shortness of breath.
Pulmonary rehabilitation is a comprehensive program that involves disease management and exercise reconditioning. People are taught how to control and lessen their shortness of breath with breathing techniques, energy conservation, exercise for reconditioning and proper medication control. The exercise portion helps people become stronger and gives them more confidence to do activities outside of the rehab setting.
People are partners in their rehabilitation and rehabilitation plans are tailored to each person’s needs.
