Seton Asthma Center
The Seton Asthma Center provides a disease management program designed to provide care coordination and education to people with asthma. The program provides asthma education to children, their families and adults to help them better understand the asthma disease and to empower them to manage asthma on their own.
While asthma is a very controllable condition, for an individual first learning they have asthma, it can be an emotional experience. At the Seton Heatlhcare Family, our comprehensive staff specializes in the treatment of individuals with pulmonary disorders and asthma. We offer a friendly, educational approach that helps individuals and caregivers understand the importance of maintenance programs, asthma triggers and to how to detect when there are need for medical assistance to avoid future asthma emergencies.
Services and Programs
Clinical services include inpatient and outpatient care, home care and consultation services. Where appropriate, services of pulmonary nurses, respiratory therapists, social workers, pulmonary function and sleep laboratory technicians, dietitians and pediatric occupational and physical therapists are utilized. Key to the success of our approach is comprehensive education of families and patients so that effective care can be continued at home.
