Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Spiritual Care at Ascension Seton Texas! We have two volunteer programs available and you are welcome to apply for either or both: No One Dies Alone and Catholic Communion Ministry.
If you interested in volunteering as a chaplain, visit our Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Program.
All Ascension Seton volunteers must have updated immunizations and be able to pass a Criminal Background Check.
No One Dies Alone (NODA)
The No One Dies Alone program trains volunteers to provide the precious gift of comfort and peace to those patients who might otherwise be alone at the time of death. Companions are provided a resource bag containing a CD player, music CDs, poetry, and sacred readings (when appropriate) to help comfort the dying patient.
If you are interested, please fill out a NODA online inquiry form and an Ascension Seton Chaplain will follow up with you.
Catholic Communion Ministry
Our Catholic Communion Ministers visit our Catholic patients to provide holy communion and prayer.
If you are interested, please fill out a Catholic Communion Minister online inquiry form and an Ascension Seton Chaplain will follow up with you.
