Seton Southwest Hospital offers convenient and comprehensive 24-hour emergency health services for our neighbors in southwest Austin, including online ER scheduling for mini emergencies. Staffed by board-certified emergency physicians, patients can be assessed and treated for a full range of emergency conditions.
Bone Density Testing
Offered the 2nd Friday of each month, bone densitometry is a safe and painless diagnostic procedure that measures the bone mass in the spine.

Seton Southwest Hospital’s imaging services have expanded to offer MRI, the latest in diagnostic imaging. Other innovative technologies include X-ray, CT scan, ultrasound, bone density and nuclear medicine.

Pulmonary Function Test
Maternity services, including six maternity suites or LDRPs, are available at Seton Southwest. In addition, a dedicated Cesarean section surgery suite is available to serve maternity center patients who need C-sections.
Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation

The Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation department at Seton Southwest Hospital features two new aquatic HydroWorx® therapy pools with underwater treadmill and video analysis. Other services available include wound care, speech therapy, sports massage and occupational and hand therapy.
Patient Medical Surgical Care Unit
A spacious and beautiful eleven-bed medical/surgical unit is located on the second floor at Seton Southwest. All rooms are private with spectacular views of the hill country.
Since May 2000, the Seton Southwest rehabilitation department has been serving patients with a variety of ailments including bone fractures, chronic pain, injuries from motor-vehicle accidents and sports related injuries. To further enhance our services, Seton Southwest rehabilitation is now offering Pilates and myofascial release (MFR) as an approach to physical therapy with a new 500 square foot Pilates center. The center is located next to the Physical Therapy/Sports Medicine Department and includes the latest in Pilates equipment.
Pilates classes are being offered to the public Tuesday evenings from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. For more information about Pilates and myofascial release rehabilitation and Pilates classes, please contact senior physical therapist, Gladys Cruz-Nicholls at 512-324-9070.
Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program

Seton Southwest Hospital’s newly expanded outpatient Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program helps patients with chronic lung disease get the most out of life. Services available include: exercise and education programs, disease management and emotional support. Also included in the new expansion is an Activities of Daily Living (ADL) room. This service supports and assists rehabbing patients who are working towards getting back to better breathing.
A three-suite, high-tech surgery department is available for a variety of outpatient and inpatient surgical procedures. Endoscopy services are also available.
