Orthopedic and Neurological Physical Therapy

In our spacious gym, our therapists utilize a wide variety of state-of-the-art equipment such as the Balance Master and Zuni Unloading System.  The Balance Master incorporates advanced technology that aids rehabilitation in patients with balance or mobility problems due to a variety of causes including stroke, inner ear problems and joint injuries. The Zuni Unloading system is used to allow for walking and running on the treadmill for those patients who cannot tolerate full weight bearing activities.  This system allows for a speedier return to their previous level of function.

The therapists’ goal is to assist with pain management, posture awareness, improve function, range of motion, strength and to increase overall independence using a variety of equipment and hands-on techniques.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapists at our site have extensive experience and expertise in the treatment of arm and hand injuries, neurological diagnosis and trauma to include special Certification in Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) for adult brain injury and stroke.  Recently, a new program has been started for new and long term neurological clients called the SaeboFlex Dynamic Orthosis and functional tone management for arm strengthening and functional retraining.

Our occupational therapists tailor treatment to each patient’s diagnosis, needs and symptoms.  Many of the patient diagnosis we care for are:

Speech Therapy

Our speech therapists will develop an individualized plan of care tailored to each patient’s needs.  Services offered include treatment of the following:

  • Speech and Language Delay
  • Speech, Language and or Cognitive/Communication Impairment

  • Auditory Comprehension
  • Voice Disorders
  • Neurologically based communication disorders
  • Dysphagia (swallowing)
