A Department of Seton Smithville Regional Hospital
The Seton Physical Therapy & Fitness Center provides quality services, promotes wellness and assists you in regaining full physical independence. We strive to offer the people of Bastrop and its surrounding counties, as well as inpatients at Seton Smithville Regional Hospital, the most comprehensive rehabilitation services available.
Physical therapists work with you to increase strength, endurance and range of motion; restore functional movement; relieve pain; and promote healing and recovery following an acute or chronic condition.
Aquatic therapy is the use of water and specifically-designed activity developed by a licensed therapist. This type of therapy will aid in the restoration, extension and quality of function for persons with acute or chronic disabilities, syndromes or diseases.
An occupational therapist (OT) provides rehabilitation with an emphasis on upper extremity function and improving independence with daily functional activities (dress, bathing, grooming, etc.). The OT also uses therapeutic exercises, activities and modalities and can fabricate upper extremity splints.
