General hospital visiting hours are from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m., although some visiting hours vary by department. Patients may have one visitor stay overnight with them. Visitors coming after 9 p.m. must enter through the Emergency Department, and obtain a visitor pass from Security. The emergency department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The patient care team and/or security may modify visiting hours to ensure the best care of the patient. Please call the nursing unit for specific information.
The Seton League House is an affordable boutique hotel near Seton Medical Center Austin, providing families a nearby place to stay while loved ones are hospitalized. The League House offers overnight accommodations for just $40 per night.
Since the numbers of rooms are limited, priority is given to families of critically ill patients at network facilities, outpatients from Seton facilities, and then families from other Austin hospitals. A limited number of rooms may be available for persons having early morning medical exams or day surgery.

Rooms are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. You may contact the Seton League House up to one month in advance to place your name on the waiting list, or to make arrangements for a late arrival. You should call the day before arrival to check on room availability. Children under the age of 14 are not allowed, and please no pets.
Upon arrival, please check in at the office on the ground floor. Check out time is 11:00 a.m. or you may drop your keys and payment in the drop box if the office is closed.
Our hospital has one Information Desk that is manned by Volunteers at the main entrance on the first level.
The Dining Room is located on the first floor and is open from 6:30 a.m. – 6:45 p.m. Breakfast is served from 6:30 – 10:00 a.m.; lunch is from 11 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Vending machines are located in the hospital and are available 24 hours a day at your convenience.
To reach a patient at Dell Seton, dial 512-324-7000 to reach the operator, who can give you the room number. If you know the room number, you can dial it directly. The three-digit room number makes up the last three numbers of the phone number. For example, to call room #100, simply dial 512-324-7100.
