Erica Garcia-Pittman, MD, received her undergraduate degree in chemistry from Rice University in Houston, Texas and completed her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. She completed her psychiatry residency training at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Dallas and a specialized fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at the University of Washington, School of Medicine in Seattle, Washington.

Dr. Garcia-Pittman holds appointments as Assistant Professor University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Clinical Assistant Professor Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine and Clinical Assistant Professor University of Texas Medical Branch.

Dr. Garcia-Pittman specializes in geriatric psychiatry, and is the Medical Director of the Generations Outpatient Program at Seton Northwest Hospital. The program is an intensive group therapy program designed for older adults experiencing problems with depression, anxiety or other mental health issues. She serves as the Outpatient Clinical Director for Seton Mind Institute and the Rotation Site Director for Adult and Geriatric Resident Outpatient Clinics.

Dr. Garcia-Pittman is board certified in psychiatry and geriatric psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is a member of the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry, International Society to Advance Alzheimer Research and Treatment, American Medical Association, American Psychiatric Association, Austin Psychiatric Society, Texas Society of Psychiatric Physicians, Travis County Medical Society and Texas Medical Association.
