Jayson Aydelotte, MD

Dr. Jayson Aydelotte is a board certified general surgeon and critical care physician. He received his medical degree at University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, and undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University in College Station. Dr. Aydelotte completed his internship and residency in general surgery at Brooke Army Medical Center, Ft. Sam Houston, Texas. He remained at Ft. Sam Houston to complete a fellowship in trauma surgery and surgical critical care.
Dr. Aydelotte has published numerous research articles and book chapters, and has held various academic positions at UT Health Science Center in San Antonio and several military medical establishments including Walter Reed Army Medical Center, The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, and Washington Hospital Center. He has garnered numerous honors and awards during his service in the U.S. Army including the Bronze Star for Meritorious Service in Combat.
Dr. Aydelotte’s research interests include motorcycle safety and injury prevention, surgeon physical fitness and health, and mass casualty management. His main academic pursuit is in the development of innovative medical product design. Dr. Aydelotte has one issued US Patent and five more US Patents that are pending issue.
Dr. Aydelotte is a member of the American College of Surgeons and the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma.
