My Passion for Healthcare

During my bachelor's degree in Psychology, I discovered focusing on a person's entire life situation is essential in physical healing. I found PT was a great match of physical health, mixed with a component of self-discovery and motivation towards healthy lifestyle changes. The gift of having enough time to personally get to know my patients was also a draw to the profession. I chose to focus on orthopedics and spine because I love being able to see immediate change and results. The patient knows it was what THEY did to change their pain, and not the result of medications or just time alone.

Services I Provide

  1. McKenzie Treatment
  2. Controlled Loading/Strengthening
  3. Total Motion Release
  4. Post-Operative Spine Rehabilitation
  5. Manual Therapy
  6. Extremity Joint Pain Solutions
  7. Core Stability

My Clinical Focus

My current passions are mentoring, teaching, and life coaching. I have been a clinical instructor most of my career and feel like something is missing in my practice if I don't have a Doctorate PT student by my side in the clinic. I never turn down an opportunity to speak at Texas State to the Doctorate Students, or at a Nursing Conference. I believe educating the next generation of therapists and the community at large about what we do should always be a focus. In 2016, I will attain Life Coaching Certification, which will take my patient relationship development to a new level!
