My Passion for Healthcare

In third grade, I declared I wanted to be a scientist. It wasn’t until high school that I turned in my chemistry set and found my passion for studying the brain. Later in my Junior year, we were allowed to choose a book from the New York Times best-seller list to present to the class. I chose a memoir from Dr. Oliver Sacks, a renowned neurologist, who wrote about several cases which demonstrated the plasticity of the brain. I also appreciated the human story of these illnesses, and how helping people cope and thrive within the context of disease was something I would love to do.

Services I Provide

  1. Obtain medical history
  2. Conduct physical exams
  3. Diagnose and treat illnesses
  4. Order and interpret tests
  5. Develop treatment plans
  6. Counsel on preventive care
  7. Write prescriptions

My Clinical Focus

I have worked for Seton Brain and Spine Institute since 2012 and with Seton Family of Hospitals since 2010. I grew from being an RN on the neuro/oncology unit to getting my advanced practice degree and taking this job with Neurosurgery. I pioneered the night shift APN position, spending my time seeing trauma patients in the emergency room or managing critical patients in the ICU. Now working both days and nights, I still love neurosurgery, and especially the time helping our patients and families receive the best care.
