My Passion for Healthcare

I did not know I wanted to be a nurse until after I completed my undergraduate studies in chemistry. I took a "temporary" position as a clinical assistant while looking for a position in my field and knew right away that caring for patients was going to be my vocation instead. I continued my education as an Advanced Practice Nurse after becoming an RN because I was interested in developing more skills and having a larger impact on the health of my patients.

Services I Provide

  1. Physiatry Consultation and Follow-Up

My Clinical Focus

Currently I am practicing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). This specialty lets me utilize much of my previous experiences, especially my many years in neurology and also my nursing practice. I enjoy helping the patients who have functional impairments regain strength, mobility and self care activities. Because these patients have many needs I get to work with multiple members of the healthcare team in identifying needs and planning strategies for improvement.
