Dr. Melamed is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Dell Medical School at UT Austin. She completed M.D. Ph.D. training at UCLA and Neurology residency and Neuro-Immunology fellowship at Stanford. Dr. Melamed believes in holistic approach to care of Neurological patients.

My Clinical Focus

Dr. Melamed’s clinical focus is the care of adults with Multiple Sclerosis, Neuromyelitis Optica, Transverse Myelitis and other Neuro-Autoimmune conditions. Her research interests include sex differences, genetics, and informatics in the study of Neuro-Immunologic diseases such as Neuromyelitis Optica and Multiple Sclerosis. The goal of her research is to develop tools in the lab that can be applied in clinic toward more personalized and gender specific delivery of Neuro-Immunological care for patients.
