My Passion for Healthcare

My passion for healthcare started when I was young and received my first "nurse's kit" for Christmas. As I grew up, I became fascinated with science and learning how our bodies work, change and adapt throughout the lifespan. My decision to become an advanced practice nurse occurred during a summer biology course. One of my professors said, "You have the personality, compassion and intelligence to be a nurse." Years later, I still have a passion for providing comprehensive, compassionate and cost effective healthcare for my patients and families.

Services I Provide

  1. Epilepsy Management
  2. Vagal Nerve Stimulator Management
  3. Responsive Neurostimulation Management
  4. Epilepsy Surgery Coordination

My Clinical Focus

I provide care for both medical and surgical adult epilepsy patients, and for patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. I also see patients in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit for seizure classification for diagnosis and localization for surgical epilepsy work-up. I am passionate about patient education and work with patients to help them understand their diagnosis and various treatment options. Within the epilepsy program, we work as an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive epilepsy care for all of our patients.
