Dr. Bertelson Comments on a Concussion Study


Scientists recently found evidence of brain damage in several athletes who played contact sports in high school and college, much like the chronic brain injuries they observed in NFL players.

“There’s no reason to think kids would be immune to these injuries but we don’t often think of high school age players suffering enough injury to have these brain disease,” Ascension Seton Brain & Institute neurologist Dr. John Bertelson said.
