Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Seton Medical Center Austin
Tad Hatton joined The Seton Healthcare Family in 2015 as vice president and chief operating officer of Seton Medical Center Austin, the largest hospital within Central Texas’ largest health care system.
Prior to Seton, Tad spent seven years as chief operating officer for St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center. There, he was part of an executive team that achieved Level II trauma certification and had responsibility for several major construction projects. Tad also served as the chief staffing officer and the ethics and compliance officer.
Before St. David’s, Hatton was chief operating officer of Willow Creek Women’s Hospital, a Triad Hospitals facility in Johnson, Ark., that delivered more babies than any other hospital in that state and established the first Level III neonatal intensive care unit in northwest Arkansas.
Previously, he also attained management roles with Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, Ark., and in the Triad Hospitals corporate offices in Plano. Hatton also worked in Texas for Medical City Dallas Hospital.
Hatton earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics at Texas A&M University and his MBA at The University of Texas at Dallas. Locally, he serves on the Williamson County YMCA Board of Trustees and has been a member of the Round Rock Rotary since 2008.
