Herb is responsible for improving patients’ ease-of-access into Seton hospitals. He will leverage existing relationships and build upon new ones, with the goal of growing high value services and linking providers into a navigable continuum of care that serves Seton’s mission.

Chris Hartle assuming his current duties in 2015. He has led initiatives in revenue and pricing management, third-party payer contracting, ACO development, HMO and TPA licensure, planning, and provider network development efforts with Seton.

Before stepping into the president’s role at these three hospitals, Kate Henderson was president of University Medical Center Brackenridge and Seton Shoal Creek Hospital.
Mark Shen, MD
President, Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas
Dr. Mark Shen was named president of Dell Children’s in February 2014, becoming the first physician to lead a Seton hospital. Before that, he was interim president for Dell Children’s Health and directed the pediatric hospitalist group, the Pediatric Consultation and Referral Service, at Dell Children’s Medical Center from 2007 to 2013.

President, Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas, University Medical Center Brackenridge and Seton Shoal Creek Hospital
Christann M. Vasquez, MHA, was named in August 2014 to be the first president of Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas, the new Austin teaching hospital scheduled to open in 2017, and the new president of University Medical Center Brackenridge. She was named president of Seton Shoal Creek Hospital in 2015.
