Vice President, Academics & Research
Ryan Leslie, PhD, is vice president of Academics & Research at the Seton Healthcare Family. He oversees Seton’s academic and research enterprise operations and works closely with The University of Texas and Dell Medical School to align the institutions’ strategies to improve the delivery of health care and improve patient outcomes and experience.
Leslie also leads the transformation of Seton’s information infrastructure to make data accessible across the continuum of care for clinical, research and business decisions.
Prior to joining Seton, Leslie spent 10 years as a consultant helping organizations conduct advanced analysis and build analytical departments. As a researcher, he studied how diagnosis-based risk adjustment models could be used to understand the costs of care for Central Texas’s medically indigent population.
Leslie holds three degrees from UT, including a BBA in management information systems and a PhD in health economics and outcomes research.
