President, Seton Medical Center Austin, Seton Northwest Hospital, Seton Southwest Hospital Creek and Health Equity Initiatives
Kate Henderson has specific responsibility for Seton Medical Center Austin, Seton Northwest Hospital, Seton Southwest Hospital and Seton’s Health Equity Initiatives. In her tenure with Seton, Kate has also served as president, vice president and chief operating officer for University Medical Center Brackenridge and Seton Shoal Creek Hospital, as well as the system vice president for Diagnostic & Therapeutic Services.
Before joining Seton, Kate worked for the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics as well as the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics with responsibility for clinical care operations as well as support for graduate medical education programs & health-based research.
An undergraduate alumnus of Iowa State University, Kate attended the University of Iowa where she earned a master’s degree in Health Care Administration & completed two international internships – one focused on international health care accreditation standards and one on population health management in the Eastern Europe. She completed an administrative fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic.
Kate is a graduate of the Ascension Health two-year Executive Formation Program as well as alumni of Leadership Austin. Kate is a leader within the Central Texas Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a board member for the Metro YMCA.
