We invite aspiring healthcare professionals to come and experience four days of fun, excitement, and learning! This summer camp for middle and high school aged children, provides a unique opportunity to learn about healthcare-related careers, while experiencing “hands-on” training led by Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals. Campers will engage in a variety of healthcare related activities including: learning how to take a blood pressure, playing a role in a trauma scenario, and learning about the aspects of physical therapy.

Located in the heart of the emerging Medical District in downtown Austin, Texas, the Ascension Seton Health Sciences Interactive Camp takes place at the Clinical Education Center.  This facility is currently used to train nursing students, physician residents, and Ascension Seton’s own Registered Nurses and allied health professionals. The camp utilizes mannequins and equipment that simulate real-life scenarios that commonly occur in Ascension Seton hospitals, making it a one-of-a-kind experience for campers! Register today!

CPR is offered (for an additional fee) on the Friday of each camp session as an optional course for any camper who would like to get CPR certified.

Campers will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn about and practice assessment skills
  • Engage in clinical simulation scenarios
  • Meet experienced healthcare professionals from the Austin community
