Thank you for your interest in the Seton Northwest Hospital Junior Volunteer Program! Teens who are 14 (as of June 1st) -17 years of age are invited to join the Junior Volunteer Program.
Applications for summer 2013 will be available on April 1st. They must be picked up in our volunteer office at the hospital. We are located in Suite 100, across the hall from the Gift Shop. It is on a first come, first serve basis and applications go quick, so don't delay! The volunteer office hours are from 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday.
This is a 9 week program beginning mid June and ending mid August. You must be able to complete 7 of the 9 weeks in order to get your certificate. We allow 2 weeks for vacation. One 4 hour shift is required per week and the shifts run as follows: 8:00am - 12:00pm or 12:00pm - 4:00pm, Monday - Friday We do not have shifts on the weekends. You can do up to 2 shifts a week if you choose but only 1 is required.
We place Jr. Volunteers in both clinical and non-clinical areas and usually along side an adult volunteer. Each area will be described in the application packet for you to choose. All other questions you should have will be answered in the application packet upon pickup.
Unfortunately, spaces in the Junior Volunteer summer program are limited. To ensure that your application will be considered, please return the completed application as soon as possible. We will not accept incomplete applications.
