Your baby is an individual, different from all other babies. His/her feelings, personality, and behavior are as unique as his/her appearance. The nurses will help you to get to know your newborn and to respond to his/her needs and personality. You can also learn about your baby's special cues. Premature and sick babies respond to stimulation or touch differently than healthy term babies. Your nurse will help you learn to recognize and interact with your baby in a manner that provides appropriate developmental care.
