Rev. Cynthia Thomas, CPE Supervisor

Rev. Cynthia “Cyd” Thomas is a CPE Supervisor (clinical teaching faculty). Her responsibilities include the supervision of CPE students in residency, intern, and extern programs. Cyd graduated from Rollins College in Florida (BA, Philosophy and Religion) in 1972, and received a Master of Arts in Intercultural Education from the University of the Americas in Mexico in 1974. She received her Master of Divinity degree from Regent College in Vancouver, Canada in 1993, and is an ordained minister affiliated with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. Cyd completed her supervisory training in Houston at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital and served as a chaplain there and at Texas Children’s Hospital while completing her educational requirements. She was a supervisor in the Houston Medical Center with Memorial Hermann Healthcare System for four years prior to her move to SETON.

Prior to becoming a CPE Supervisor, Cyd helped to establish and develop Episcopal High School in Houston. She also worked in educational administration and counseling at Rice University and at the University of Houston Honors Program. Cyd is a lover of all the outdoors and especially water sports. She also enjoys travel, reading, ethnic restaurants, cultural events, and being with friends and family.

Stephanie Quinn, Senior Department Assistant

Stephanie joined the SETON CPE Department in August 2006.  She handles most of the administrative duties for the department including recruitment and program coordination.  Stephanie is currently working toward her undergraduate degree from Texas State University with hopes to graduate summer 2009.  Stephanie came to SETON after seven years with Texas Nurses Association where she handled all administrative responsibilities for the Membership and Governmental Affairs Departments.
