The Epilepsy Program specializes in providing comprehensive care to adult patients with epilepsy, especially those with medication resistant epilepsy, through the use of epilepsy surgery and/or implantation of vagal nerve stimulator.

1. Obtain a referral from your primary care physician
2. Schedule an initial evaluation at the Epilepsy Clinic (512) 324.9660
3. Here our expert staff will consult with you to complete the necessary pre-surgical evaluations:
   -Neuroimaging of the brain
   -Inpatient video-EEG monitoring
   -Neuropsychological evaluation
   -WADA test
4. Our doctors will do an in-depth analysis of the above tests to attempt to localize the seizure origin and make sure no significant functional deficits will occur after the surgery
