Welcome to the website of the UT Southwestern Austin General Surgery Residency Program. Thank you for your interest to learn more about our residency program. Our five year, categorical general surgery program began July 2009. We offer three categorical positions through the National Residency Matching Program. Our program is based primarily at University Medical Center Brackenridge Hospital with multiple rotations at the Seton Medical Center and Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas; The Central Park Surgery Center of Austin and Strictly Pediatrics Surgery Center are also included as additional training sites during these rotations. In July of 2011 our program went through a reaccreditation with the ACGME and we are proud to announce that we were received a 5 year reaccreditation.
