Austin Child Guidance Center

  • Serves private and indigent child and adolescent psychiatric outpatients and their families from Austin.
  • Includes the Sexually Exploited Youth Program

Austin State Hospital

  • Serves indigent and private patients from the surrounding catchment area.
  • Statewide psychiatric inpatient resource for deaf patients.
  • Inpatient psychiatric care for all age groups.
  • The hospital’s Community Services Program provides outpatient care for areas not served by MHMR centers.
  • Population served: 3,000,000.

Austin-Travis County Mental Health Mental Retardation Center

  • Serves mentally ill and developmentally disabled outpatients from Austin and Travis County.
  • Population served: 600,000.

Brackenridge Hospital

  • Serves Austin and Travis County patients, both indigent and private; emergency care, consultation and liaison, and medical/surgical adult inpatient and outpatient care.

Children’s Hospital of Austin

  • Serves Austin and Travis County patients both indigent and private; child and adolescent medical inpatient care; medical specialty clinics.

Children’s Shelter

  • Residential facility for abused and neglected children

Federal Correctional Facility at Bastrop, Texas

  • Forensic psychiatry experience for offenders with emotional, behavioral and substance abuse problems

Seton Shoal Creek Hospital

  • Serves private patients, local and out-of-city.
  • Child, adolescent and adult psychiatric inpatient services, clinics, and rehabilitation programs.

St. David’s Hospital

  • Inpatient and outpatient geriatrics

University of Texas Student Counseling and Mental Health Center

  • Provides undergraduate and graduate students with psychiatric outpatient services.
  • Student population: 45,000.

Veteran's Affairs Outpatient Clinic

  • Outpatient facility for military service veterans and their families
