Family Practice Curriculum

Home > Medical Services and Programs > Graduate Medical Education > Family Practice >

The curriculum of the Family Practice Program is designed to reinforce and expand the knowledge and skills that are acquired in medical school. An early introduction to family and community medicine at the Blackstock Family Health Center is provided to ensure that the resident will develop a significant patient panel and complete initiation to ambulatory care and the family practice philosophy by the year's end. An extremely compact and highly organized year, the emphasis is on acute inpatient care with a solid introduction to the Blackstock Family Health Center's ambulatory population.
