Because our specially trained staff is aware of the unique needs women with breast cancer may have, these services are also available at the Seton Breast Care Center:
Our staff can facilitate access to these additional support services:
*A physician's referral is required for this one-on-one counseling at Seton’s Cancer Care Collaborative.
The resource library makes available a wide range of materials pertaining to the breast cancer journey – in both print format and via access to online resources. Topics include: Self-care, family support, treatment, side effects, sexuality, symptom management, and much more. The library also includes information on both local and national organizations and support groups.
Our center includes a recovery garment boutique with clothing and accessories created specifically for breast cancer patients and survivors. Merchandise includes post-mastectomy garments, lymphedema sleeves and head scarves as well as special robes and other items useful for pampering oneself. The boutique also provides access to wig and prosthetic manufacturers.
Women who have been treated surgically for breast cancer may be at risk for lymphedema in the arm, breast and chest. It is caused by a build-up of fluid in the fatty tissue just underneath the skin. For those experiencing lymphedema, we offer a combined therapy program that includes massage, bandaging, exercises and skin care – all managed by a specially trained therapist.
If therapy alone is unable to reduce the symptoms or decrease the progression of lymphedema, Seton also offers a surgical treatment of the condition.

A physicians order is not required for mammogram screenings. However, we will need the name of your physician in order to send your results. Bone density scans do require a physician order.
