According to the National Cancer Institute, more than 10 million cancer survivors are living in the United States, at least 270,000 of these survivors was diagnosed under the age of 21. You may know an Adolescent Young Adult (AYA) cancer survivor, you may have a child who is an AYA survivor, or you may actually be an AYA cancer survivor. Or, you might be a healthcare provider who is looking for information and resources to share with your patients. ACCESS-AYA's mission is to provide outreach and education for AYA survivors, their families and their healthcare providers to improve survivors' health, wellness, and quality of life. ACCESS AYA is funded through a grant from the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas.
