Your Appointment

Please allow ample time for parking and filling out any paperwork prior to your stated appointment time. You will be asked to update your personal information and insurance information at each visit. Do not forget to bring your insurance card to your visit.

Practice Policies

Our practice is dedicated to providing not only the best in patient care but also excellent customer service. If at any time we do not meet your expectations, please ask to speak with the Practice Manager.

Please note the following policies that are in place to insure efficient and prompt handling of the administrative issues that surround healthcare today.

Referrals

When one of our primary care physicians makes a referral, we submit that referral to your insurance company for processing. This process may take up to 10 days depending on the responsiveness of your insurance company. If a referral is needed urgently, we will individually expedite the referral as your insurer allows.

If you are referred to one of our specialists, we do request that you have your medical records sent to us prior to scheduling your appointment. The purpose of this policy is to insure that the specialist has all of the pertinent information in order to give you the best and most comprehensive care at the time of your visit.

Lab Results

Lab results are relayed to you either by phone or mail within 10 business days of your appointment. Some particular tests may take longer. Your provider will let you know if this may be the case. If you have not heard from us within 10 days, please call our nurses to follow up on the results.

Prescription Refills

Pharmacy refills: Pharmacies now request that you contact them directly to refill prescriptions. They will fax us a request for your medications and we will confirm the prescription directly to the pharmacy. Please allow 48 hours to process the request except on weekends or holidays. Calling us directly will only slow the process.

Mail order refills: If you need a written prescription to mail in, please call our office and ask for a nurse to assist you.

Financial

Payment is expected at the time of service. If you have insurance coverage, we are happy provide the service of filing your claim, however, you will be responsible for whatever co-payment, deductible, or coinsurance that is required by your insurance coverage.
