Notice how this person runs with their legs more spread out than usual. This can be caused by tight IT bands. Also notice the angle created by the center of his heel and the center of his leg when his foot lands. This angle is called pronation and it is less than normal in this example. This can cause heel pain, pain on the outside of you ankle, as well as knee and hip pain.
