New spaces for baby faces
Seton Medical Center Austin is meeting the needs of this growing community by constructing a new, 124,000-square foot, five story tower addition. Unveiled in December 2008, this addition includes a new maternity area and 43,000 square feet of renovation of the existing maternity unit.
Highlights include:
• Thirty new and ten renovated postpartum patient rooms
• Three new state-of-the-art C-Section rooms (one shelled)
• A new Continuing Care (Transition) Nursery and two new Full-Term Nurseries
• A covered pedestrian foot bridge connecting Seton Medical Center Austin to Medical Park Tower
• A new public entrance, lobby and large gift shop located on the ground floor

Care for our most small and fragile patients
One of three Seton hospitals with a Level Three Nursery, Seton Medical Center Austin provides critical care to those newborns needing extra attention. Seton NICUs are supported by the wide-range of services and specialists of Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas, which offers a full continuum of specialty services for newborns requiring more critical and complex care.
